Typical bank holiday...

The weather is terrible today isn't it?  Luckily I didn't have any plans today as hubby was at work so it didn't really bother me but I hope it hasn't spoilt too many peoples day.  I've been prepping for my interview tomorrow but as time goes on I'm getting more and more nervous so by tomorrow I'll be a wreck..haha.

Obviously due to this I haven't done any crafting yet today but hope to do some later so, in the meantime, here's one I prepared earlier.

Its not a very good picture I'm afraid as the main body of the card looks brown but it is in fact Concord Crush..lol.   I've used Four Frames stamp set and punch and one of the new embossing folders SU have introduced.  I am impressed every time I use the embossing folders at the depth of detail.

Thanks for looking and I hope to have something else for you tomorrow if I can concentrate long enough :-)

Lovely day

Hi  All,

We've just got back from a drive to the coast to see hubbys sister and it was a lovely day out.   We set off at 7.45 and got there about 9.35 so didn't do too bad time wise.  It was great to see her as its been a long time, you know how it is a week becomes a month etc and before you know it a year has gone by.  Then we went into town and had the obligatory fish and chips..yumyum.  It was so windy on the sea front that its a good job none of us were wearing wigs...haha.

Anyway, remember at my class yesterday I said I joined in but made the set in a different colour, well here it is....

For this set the colour combo that I used was Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, River Rock and Very Vanilla along with the Springtime Vintage papers.  Obviously the Big Shot was used on both sets as well as the seam binding ribbon.  Not sure which set I prefer but I think this one is edging in the front slightly !!!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my projects

Class Projects

Hello everyone,

What a rollercoaster of a week its been for me.  I've had some good news and some bad but don't you think that you only remember the bad?  Well I'm not going to let it get me down and so I held my monthly class today and had a blast, as always.  My dippy sister forgot but, after a quick phone call she arrived in time...lol

Today we focused on the Four Frames set and matching punch.  This is such a lovely set to work with.   I actually got chance to craft with them today so I did the same projects but in a different colour and its amazing how different they look

This is the original set that my ladies did:

The colour combination is Rose Red, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Springtime Vintage papers.  I'll post the other colour combo when I've taken a picture.

Enjoy the Bank holiday everyone, we're off to the coast tomorrow to see hubby's sister who is very poorly and then on Monday I am prepping for a interview on Tuesday, stomach's churning just thinking about it.  Still I  can only do my best.

Well....

... where did the weekend go... it just flew by don't you think?  I finally got my washer fixed at the weekend so it doesn't sound like its taking off anymore.  Trouble is I've got no excuse now for not doing the washing....drat.  Then Nikki and Lee came round for Sunday lunch so that was a nice little gathering.

So what have I made recently to show you?   I had a go at making a card using the scallop die from the mini and deocorating it with the flower daisy die, also from the mini.

To ensure that I had a "card" to work from I folded a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock in half and made sure that some of the scallop die overhung the folded edge so that it remained intack. I then assembled the daisy flower and spritzed it with Rose Red and added a button in the center to finish it off.  The sentiment is from Basic Phrases stamp set.

Hope you enjoyed looking

Strength and Hope # 4

I bet you think I'm like a bus, nothing for a ages and then they come along all at once...haha.  Well, if I'm honest,  I prepared a few cards about a week ago so that I have one or two to post in my  "not enough hours in the day to craft" spell.

Again I have used the Springtime Vintage papers but this time with the Strength and Hope stamp set.  Remember, every set sold SU are donating £1 to Cancer research.  I have also used the butterfly embosslits folder from the mini catalogue.

I love the patchwork quilt effect and these colours are so fresh and bright.  Well quick post from me as time to watch a bit of tv and chill with a nice glass of wine.

Top Note box

Hello everyone,

Yet another hectic week, where does the time go. I'll be a Nan before you know it as Nic's only got 9 weeks to go OMG...lol Still we have got the pram and cot so thats the big items out of the way.

A couple of weeks ago I was asked, by Victoria,  to demo a project at her team training.  Well to say I was gobsmacked is an understatement but felt honoured so wanted to do something a little different and decided to make a Top Note die box.  When I did my first attempt I didn't have the Fun Flowers Die from the mini to make a flower for the top, it was on order, but I did have the circle scalloped punch.  So, stretching my brains cells a little I managed to make a flower from the punch out of the Sprintime Vintage DSP ( also from the mini).  Here is the finished project:

The final version was altered slightly to show the fun flowers die and alternate petals were embossed to give it a little character.

The box and flowers are made using Crumb Cake and Rose Red c/s and the DSP's from the mini.  I just love the Rose Red colour at the moment, so rich looking.

Well thank you for stopping by and please leave a comment.  I hope to be back sooner next time...lol

Hanging photo frame

Well its been a very busy time since I last posted.  Saturday was a day to get all the odd jobs done around the house, doing a bit of shopping, washing etc,  The usual boring day to day stuff...lol.   Then on Sunday I was helping Victoria at one of her papercraft sales doing the make and takes.  I met a lot of lovely ladies and I hope they enjoyed doing the projects as much as I did.

I have been making some projects to demonstrate the versitality of SU products and for this one I've concentrated on using the wonderful BIG SHOT.   I have concentrated on using the big note die to make a hanging photo frame.

This is my garden and shows hubby last year laying a patio outside the front of our conservatory and then at the side and the snow in Jan/Feb this year.  Before he did the  patio all that was in the front of the patio doors were 12 slabs so a major improvement I think and it always amazes me how different the garden looks covered in snow.

I have used lots of SU products and they consist of:
Top Note Die, Embossing folders, boarder punches, very vanilla and marina mist card stock and ribbon, greenhouse garden stamp set, rhinestones, springtime vintage dsp, itty bitty bits stamp set and buttons, various punches and alphabet stamps.

I hope you've enjoyed looking at my project and thank you for stopping by.

Thank you card

Hiya,

What a week its been.  On Monday we travelled to Peterborough to look at prams and cotbeds with Nicola and Lee.  We went to a big kiddies store there and got both items in one day. The pram is in the spare room with the cotbed mattress and the cot frame is in the garage :-)

Then on Tuesday it was back to reality and work which I didn't want to do as I knew my brand new BIG SHOT was being delivered on Wednesday.  Luckily hubby's been off this week and he was under strict instructions NOT to miss my nice Mr UPS man and, for his own sake, he didn't.   So Wednesday night I had a little play with my new toy and the "extra's" I just had to have to go with it and here is the end result...

This was made to send to one of my ladies with her order that she should receive today.  I hope she likes it.

All products are SU and consist of: big shot die cutting machine, Springtime vintage paper, pear pizzaz seam binding ribbon (this is just lush), vintage wallpaper embossing folder, various punches, Sincere Salutations stamps, elegant eggplant c/s and ink, and the big designer buttons from the mini.

Thanks for stopping by.

Baby Frame

Yesterday I had a day of crafting at Victorias and it was a great day, so relaxed.   We didn't make cards or scrapbook pages this time but a 3d frame.   There were five of us, including Victoria, and we each choose the colour scheme we wanted to work with.  The colur schemes were blue and brown, purples, neutrals, pinks and mine was lemon and beige.

We all had different ideas as to where our pictures were going to be hung once completed and ranged from the kitchen, craft room etc.  Everyones' frames turned out brilliantly and pics were taken by Victoria, she may blog them at some stage so pop over to her blog and have a look.  Now mine was for our new addition expected in July, hence lemon and beige.  It was sooooo easy to do and I have now ordered the same frames so that I can do a similar class with my ladies at some stage.

So here is my attempt.  Several sets were used:  Little Additions, Just Perfect alphabet set, Trendy Trees, Bundle of love and lots of pearls and punches.

I can't wait to see Nicola and Lees' response to it, I hope they like it and will hang it in the nursery when its done :)

Thanks for looking and please leave a comment.
